Elisabetta/Erdgeist is a 24 year old multimedia artist based in Philadelphia.

There are certain moments when opposing forces briefly transmute and, for an instant, become shockingly indistinguishable from each other, before immediately returning to their positions as resolute opposites. It is impossible to understand the quality of these moments through reductive analysis; their essence is only communicable through the lived experience of them. These are times when the boundaries between self and other, the profound and the disposable, heaven and earth, righteousness and depravity, become a mirror of one another.

Through creation, the ultimate goal to impart something that can only be felt with this kind of sharp and intangible clarity—an experience that primarily affects the intuitive senses we use to engage with the world around us and circumvents the desire to reduce what’s in front of us into explainable parts.

I am fascinated by infinite capacities of god, the finite capacities of humanity, the future, epigenetics, consciousness, AI, evolution, panpsychism, extended minds, simone weil, dreams, strangers, and the presentation of self.
